After the results of the Clout League were announced a few weeks ago there was a presentation which took place at The Gallow, Fakenham Bowmen’s indoor shooting facility. The shield was presented by Abbie Fisher and received by (r to l) Stuart Burnett, Chris Moore and Neil Bates, representing the victorious team of Hingham Bowmen.

It was a good start to the league with three teams being represented and we hope that more will join for next years’ competition. The format is kept as simple as possible in that the distances shot are metric only, which gives for a more forgiving target to aim at! The distances vary according to bow type and category (junior, women and men). The requirement to post an end of season score, is that each archer must shoot and record a score, a minimum of four times over the course of eight sessions. Each archer can shoot just four or all eight if they so wish, but it is the archers best four scores over the season that are used for scoring purposes.
The shooting days for 2026 are once again, likely to be on Sunday mornings at Fakenham’s outdoor range at Fakenham Racecourse; dates to be confirmed in February. The sessions shall begin at 10:00 (9:45 Assembly) and finish at 12:00. For further information and to apply to join the league, please contact Kevin, the League Organiser.
